De Volvo 8700 is een stads-/streekbus van de Zweedse fabrikant Volvo. Vaak wordt dit type bus ingezet op de langere afstandsritten of op Interliner-lijnen.
De 8700-bus is in verschillende varianten verkrijgbaar. De LE (Low Entry) bus kent een lage in- en uitstap en een verhoogd achtergedeelte met een lengte van 12-, 12,7-, 14,5- en 18-meter. De 18-meter versie komt in Nederland niet voor.

Verschil tussen Volvo 8700BLE en Volvo 8700RLE
Het verschil tussen de Volvo 8700 BLE en de Volvo 8700RLE is dat de BLE een dubbel achteras heeft, zoals hierboven te zien is op de foto van de Hanzeliner. De RLE heeft maar één achteras, zoals te zien is op de foto's van de Interliner en van de Veolia-bus.
