Station Ronse (Renaix in het Frans) ligt langs spoorlijn 86. Vroeger lag het station ook langs spoorlijn 87.
Omdat het station in een faciliteitengemeente ligt, wordt de naam van het station ondanks de ligging in Vlaanderen ook in het Frans aangegeven. Het station is echter per trein alleen vanuit Vlaanderen te bereiken.
Het stationsgebouw van Ronse deed tot 1879 dienst als het stationsgebouw van Brugge. Doordat het gebouw in Brugge te klein werd en het eerdere stationsgebouw in Ronse ook, werd besloten het gebouw te verplaatsen. Daarbij maakte men echter de vergissing het gebouw verkeerd om terug te plaatsen, de straatzijde werd dus spoorzijde en andersom.
